Simran husband can be a hero ?

Simran after marriage miserably failed in her second innings.Her films in Telugu as well as Tamil flopped miserably. Even her foray on to the small screen did not yield good results.

Simran tried to take up direction and even approached Mani Ratnam to join him as his assistant. But the move came a cropper.

Simran now plans to make her husband Deepak as hero. Simran will produce the film and plans to sign up a big hero who will draw in the crowds to the theatres. We have to see which hero would want to act in her film in which Simran's husband will be one of the heroes.

Feb 12 'Siddham' getting released

‘Homam’ directed by JD Chakravarthy and produced by Kirankumar Koneru on the banner of Stotram Pictures was a big hit. Taking a cue from this yet another film called ‘Siddham’ was launched in the same combination. Director says, ‘Our film ‘Siddham’ with a tagline ‘Champadanikaina, Chavadanikaina’, the film is coming up before the audiences on February 12. Though we announced earlier that the hero of the film would be an encounter specialist, it is exactly not the case. ‘Doctors would conduct surgeries and operations, likewise engineers take up constructions, but I will kill criminals, because it is myprofession,’ is the key dialogue of the hero of our film. It is in fact a very good character which was played by Jagapatibabu. Sindhu Menon is playing the heroine in this movie.’ Producer Kirankumar expressed confidence that this film too would be a big hit.

Puri Jagannath as new Student for Anushka

Anushka gets impressed with the speech by Bharat Thakur on yoga and joined the yoga classes. She learnt many techniques in yoga and started practicing regularly. It was on Bharat Thakur’s advice, Anushka agreed to play heroine in ‘Super’. Later, she became very busy as heroine. Despite her busy schedule, she continued to practice yoga at particular time and did not neglect it. Not only that, she reportedly taught yoga to several heroes and directors too. Puri Jagannath is one among those who learnt yoga from Anushka. She says, ‘Puri used to evince lot of interest in yoga practice. I took more time to teach him many techniques in yoga.’

Asin as Bollywood Arundhati

Ram Gopal Varma's cousin Madhu Mantena hit the gold with the remake of Ghazini in Hindi. He co-produced it with Geeta arts.Madhu Mantena wants to remake it with the help of Shyam Prasad Reddy. He plans to rope in Asin again for this remake too. He has good bond with Asin and he believes that she’d do the justice to the role.To continue the hit streak, he plans to remake Arundhati into Hindi. He is currently negotiating with producer Shyam Prasad Reddy for the remake rights. Arundhati, starring Anushka and Sonu Sood, is turning out to be biggest hit in the recent times in Tollywood.

Mohan babu- Ramya Krishna to repeat old History?

A new film from Kumaraswamy Productions with Mohanbabu, Ramya Krishna and Sarvanand in the lead was titled Raju Maharaju. The movie is directed by P Bhanushankar and produced by Pattikonda Kumaraswamy.Giving details about the film's progress, the producer said, "The final schedule of the film would begin from January 16 where we will can some songs. We are producing the film with good story, nice commercial elements without any compromise. Sarwanand would earn a mass hero image after the release of this movie. Mohanbabu is making his appearance in a different role. All the films that have come out with the combination of Mohanbabu and Ramya Krishna were hits and we are sure that our film would repeat the history."

Director remarked, "We are making a film which is a complete entertainer."

Brahmanandam, Chandramohan, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, LB Sriram, Raghubabu, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Jayaprakash Reddy, Vijayakujmar, MS Narayana, Sudha, Surekha Vani, Bharat and others are in the cast. Cinematography is by Ramesh, action is by Kanal Kannan, editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, songs is by Chakri while story, screenplay and direction are by P Bhanushankar.

Arundhati to Beat Pokiri

Shyam Prasad Reddy's latest horror flick Arundhati has became talk of town with the audience.With the Initial Collections itself set to cross Rs 25 crore. Talk of making money by scaring the hell of out of people. So why does horror sell? What's intriguing people is the confidence the producer had in this project. Unlike his peers, he didn't sell even satellite or area rights of his latest offering. Even a colossal flop like Anji couldn't deter him from increasing the budget of his film from Rs 4 crore to 13 crore. It took him 2 1/2 years to finish the film that was released this Sankranti.

With crowds flocking to watch the movie from day one, Reddy is laughing all the way to the bank and all because he spooked people out! He has proved that good visual effects combined with a compatible plot can spell super bucks. With good performances from the lead actors and a taut screenplay, he could make a winner out of a 'regressive' plot. Now the producer intends to release additional prints to reach a wider section of the audience. "Top banners from Tamil, Hindi and other languages are seeking the dubbing rights for hefty sums," says a trade analyst and adds, "If the horror film can draw repeat audiences then it could even surpass highest grosser Pokiri."

Tamannaah 2 ready for lip lock kiss

Tamannaah is on a roll as her two films one in telugu and other in Tamil with Dhanush .Both Padikathavan and Siddharth's Koncham Kashtam Koncham Ishtam are releasing on Sankranthi. The audio launch functions of both films were held within a few hours of each other in Chennai and Hyderabad respectively. The Sindhi girl from Mumbai surprised guests at both functions by speaking in good Tamil and Telugu something that’s yet to be mastered by a lot of north Indians!
The latest topic of discussion in Kollywood circles is whether the actress will do the famous lip-lock scene that involved Bebo(kareena Kapoor) and her one-time boyfriend Shahid Kapur in her next Tamil film Raja Rani (a remake of Jab We Met). Earlier, she had vehemently refused that she would ever do such a scene for any film. However, the buzz in the industry now is that the actress has told director Kannan that she is a professional and can deal with such a scene if the script demands it.So, will lady luck favour Bharath again after lip-locking with Meera Jasmine in Nepali? Dil Raju's, Trisha's 'Akasamantha'

The Recent Box-Office Success of Trisha's 'Abhiyum Naanum' in Tamil,Dil Raju is Producing the Telugu Remake of the Film and titled as 'Akasamantha'. The bond between Prakash Raj and Dil Raju is well-known among the film lovers. In this backdrop, a film produced by Prakash Raj in Tamil was taken up by Dil Raju for release in Telugu as ‘Akasamata…’. Unfortunately, the Tamil version of the film was turned out to be a big flop. Dil Raju, who did not face a failure in his career so far, is now in a dilemma on how to release a flop movie in Telugu again. So, he started making efforts to correct the mistakes in the original version of the film and decided to reshoot certain scenes and add some spice to it. He convinced Jagapatibabu to play a role in the film as part of modification to make the film an average grosser at least. Sources in the film industry criticise that Prakash Raj though succeeded as artiste, flopped as producer and is trying to pass on the bad luck to another producer.

Sandhya coming up with ‘Nuvve Naa Sakhi’

Sandhya became popular with her debut film ‘Premiste’, a dubbed version of a Tamil film. She played a key role in ‘Annavaram’ again. Now, she is playing heroine in a straight Telugu film for the first time under the direction of Kanmani, who had earlier directed films like ‘Naa Oopiri, Chinnodu and Call Centre’. Parimal, brother of Sangeetha, is making his debut as hero through this movie. The film unit had confirmed the title as ‘Nuvve Naa Sakhi’ (Ani Fix Ayyanu). The shooting of the film is almost complete but for the canning of a song. The shooting of the film is in progress at Hyderabad. Director Kanmani says, ‘We are planning to launch the audio on February 14 and release the film in the second week of April.’

'Arundhati' Tamil remake rights for Rs 8 cr

Whatever it may be, ‘Arundhati’ proved the Telugu cinema’s stamina in 2009.‘Arundhati’ in which Anushka gave an extraordinary performance and produced by Shyam Prasad Reddy was released during Sankranti season. The producer himself distributed the film personally. The film earned a great demand after it achieved a super success talk. It is learnt that many distributors came forward and sought Nizam rights at Rs 12 crore. Another surprising point is that the Tamil remake rights were sought for the film for Rs 8 crores. Film industry sources say, ‘Such a high rate was not offered to any other film so far in recent times and no film had got a hype to demand such a high price. Moreover, it is learnt that Rs 4.5 crore was offered for satellite rights and Rs 85 lakhs for overseas rights too.’

RaviTeja's new film 'Parashuram' starts this August

Adithya Ram and Puri Jagannath join the hands to present a line of big budget films on Adithya Ram Movies banner. Director Parashuram of ‘Yuvatha’ starring Nikhil, Aksha as hero and heroine is going to direct one of the films. Mass hero Ravi Teja plays the lead in the film which will go to the floors this August. Reliable sources have stated that Parashuram will be directing another film featuring a big star on a prestigious banner before this film begins. Arundati getting stress at B,C centres

Arundhati film has turned out to be a major success and a blockbuster also is looking imminent for it.

Apparently, the film's main strength lies in the audio and sound effects to bring about the kind of fear and chill elements. However, almost 90% of the theatres in B and C centres are not equipped with the right kind of sound system and the situation is said to be even worse in the C centres.

This has led to a rather milder response as compared to the A centres and experts say that the maximum mileage can now be generated only from the A centers if they are looking at a major record breaker. This should be a challenge of sorts and also an eye opener to those who are not focused on improvising their theatre infrastructure.

'Hamara' Rehman to oscar

Music maestro A.R.Rehman makes history by 'Jai Ho' in 'Slumdog Millionaire' .

He is the first Indian to get nominated for Oscars in individual capacity. Rehman’s musical score for Slumdog Millionaire got three nominations - Best Musical Score for the film and as well as Best Song (Original). Nominations for 81st Academy Awards were announced Thursday morning. Slumdog Millionaire altogether nominated for 10 categories. Rehman competes with two songs in original song category with 'Jai Ho..' and 'Saya..' both nominated.

Looks like he will certainly win in this category as only three songs are nominated in this section and Rehman scores two of them. Other song that is in competition with Rehman’s song is “Down To Earth” number from Wall-E.

It is a proud moment to all of us Indians.

Spectacling Stars in 'BILLA'

Meher Ramesh is directing ‘Billa’ starring Prabhas, Anushka and Namitha in the lead. It is being produced on Gopikrishna Movies banner by Narendra and Prachod.

The news is already out that 'Deshmuduru', 'Kanthri' and 'Maska' fame Hansika is shaking her leg for a sensual item song in this film.

To film this scintillating song featuring Hansika, a huge set has been erected at Hyderabad. ‘Billa’ is sure being churned out stylish with a high budget invested in the making. Spectacular stunt scenes featuring car chases and helicopters have been filmed in Malaysia, as said by the makers. The release date is said to be on 27th March.

"KICK" of Raviteja in april

RR Movie Makers next is ‘Kick’ starring Ravi Teja and Ileana, in the direction of Surendar Reddy. Maker of mega hit movies like Kalyan Ram’s ‘Athanokkade’, NTR’s ‘Ashok’ and Mahesh Babu’s ‘Athidi’, Surendar is now churning out a hit for Ravi Teja.

Currently, the second schedule of the shooting is in progress. The film highlights the characterization of Ravi Teja, and is said to be made differently compared to the earlier films of Suredar Reddy. The movie will soon kick into the third phase of filming.

Alongside Ravi Teja and Ileana, Tamil actor Shyam and Ashimka are playing one more lead pair in the movie. The makers are planning to release the film next year for April 2009.

Trisha signed for Gopichand's next film

Trisha A-list heroine has officially signed Gopichand’s current film to be directed by Siva (of Sowryam fame).Gopichand gets A-list heroine for the first time, to romance with.According to sources, she is paid a bomb for this film. Alhough Gopichand acted with beauties like Anushka, she was not that hot when she first acted with him in Laksyam, hence Trisha pairing with him makes special. Interestingly, Gopichand played villain in Trisha’s maiden Telugu film - Varsham. Five years later, both of them are paired together. Pullarao and Bhagavan are producing it while Tamil actor Satyaraj plays role of father to Gopichand in this movie.

Earlier Kajal was chosen for this role but she opted out, as she could not adjust dates. So Trisha is roped in by paying huge remuneration.

Regular shooting commences from February 1st week. Currently, Trisha has no other movies in Tamil and Telugu.

Namitha's Jaganmohini to set fire in this summer

Jaganmohini's graphic works are in progress. Jaganmohini with Raja, Namitha and Meera Chopra in the lead. SK Viswanathan is directing the movie while Murali is the producer of the Telugu version.

Speaking on the occasion, the producer said, "We are bringing out the film simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages. As the film has lot of scope for graphics, we are busy completing the works. Especially, the scenes that have been shot in Rameswaram, Andaman, Chennai and Hyderabad would attract the audiences. We are making efforts to ensure that our film would also maintain them similar standards set in the earlier Jagamohini directed by Vithalacharya. We are sure that our film too would attract all classes of audiences and would leave an indelible impression in the hearts and minds of the people. We are making efforts to release the audio as well as the film in March."Jyothilakshmi, Narasimha Raju, Brahmanandam, Yuvarani, Riyaz Khan, Madanbabu and others are in the cast. Dialogues and lyrics are by Vennelakanti, while Illayaraja is scoring tunes.

Manoj Bajpai once moree in telugu

Manoj Bajpai is doing the crucial role in Pawan Kalyan’s current movie – Komaram Puli. He says he is happy with the movie’s content but he faced big problem on the sets pronouncing Telugu words correctly. It is really an uphill task for me, he confesses. “But luckily, the producer and director S.J.Surya have provided Tele-prompters on the location that made my life easier,” he said.

Hansika doing item song in Prabha’s Billa

Bubbly girl Hansika who looked ravishing in Maska is now all set to woo the audiences in a hot item number. She is doing item song in Prabha’s Billa which has Anushka and Namitha as the female lead. She does the popular remix song of “Naa Paruvam..” from Yugandhar. Hansika is agreed to do this item number only on the insistence of the film’s director Meher Ramesh. Hansika treats Meher as her guru in Tollywood.

This item song’s shooting will commence from January 23rd at a specially erected set in Hyderabad.

Jagapathi Babu as a guest in dilraju's movie!

Jagapathi Babu is doing guest role in another movie. This time he does for top producer Dil Raju. Jagapathi Babu has accepted to appear in Dil Raju's Trisha and Prakash Raj starrer Akashamantha. The film is dubbed version of Tamil film Abhiyum Naanum but major portion of the movie is being reshot. Hence it can be called remake. And Jagapathi Babu appears for a brief time in this Telugu version.

Trisha will join the shoot from this month end.

Shreya to reduce her remunaration

Shreya has decided to concentrate more on Tamil films and to reduce her fee because of box-office failure of a few of her films in Hollywood and Bollywoodit is rumoured.The sultry siren, however, has a lot at stake on the box-office fortunes of ‘Kandhasamy’, in which she plays the lead opposite Vikram.

Earlier, she had requested director Susi Ganesan to relieve her from the shooting of ’Kandhasamy’ as soon as possible as she had committed to do a Hollywood film. Though Ganesan speeded things up, he couldn’t reportedly meet Shreya’s deadline and the actress flew off to Hollywood before completing her portions.

But, as fate would have it, the Hollywood film as well as a couple of her Bollywood releases bombed.

Anushka In 7 Languages

There are only two names that have been making rounds in the film industry currently, one is 'Arundhati' the film and then Anushka, the lead heroine. The film has turned out to be an overwhelming success in the collection centres and in no time, the impact of Anushka's presence and her performance spread like wildfire throughout the other film circuits.

Now, there is news that the film is being made into seven different languages starting from Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Bengali and English. However, barring the possibility of Hindi, the rest would be in dubbed versions since it is practically impossible to create such sort of high quality graphics.

While producer Shyamprasad Reddy is said to be looking at the Hindi version for remake, the rest would be in dubbings and if this happens as per plan then our 'Sweety' (that's Anushka's pet name) will be busy spreading her charms throughout seven different languages and literally across the entire nation. NTR adding masala for his dance

After two super hit films, ‘Adi’ and ‘Samba’, Tarak and VV Vinayak are joining hands once again for this huge budget movie. NTR is now busy in adding perfection to his dance moves for the movie being directed by VV Vinayak.

For the first time, Nayantara shares screen space with NTR playing the heroine. News has been reported that from 20th January, a song will be canned in the specially erected sets at Rama Naidu Cine Village, Nanakramguda.

Producer Vamshi Mohan is making this movie estimated on a heavy budget.

Rambha to make suspense thrill like "charmee''

Hit movies like ‘A Film by Arvind’, ‘Raksha’, ‘Mantra’, ‘Indumathi’ makes the above statement true. Suspense thriller seems to be the hot selling pancake in Tollywood these days.

Charmme’s ‘Mantra’ became a super hit at the box office and the copycat Rambha is close on Charmme’s heels. She has signed up for a thriller flick.

The actress who debuted to Tollywood with EVV Satyanarayana’s ‘Aa Okati Adakku’ continued her good run with popular heroes. But, she lacked offers lately and was out of the news since sometime. She was working in some Bhojpuri films during the break, said news breakers.

Now, Rambha is re-entering tinsel town with the suspense thriller, ‘Prathikshanam’ which is under progress. Prakash Raj dons a meaty role and Vyas is directing the movie produced by Rambha’s brother on Parijaya Creations.

The movie is through with shooting schedules and dubbing works. It is awaiting release dates shortly.

Is it Trisha's end of tollywood road ?

Trisha after working with Nagarjuna in the film King has worked at least once with all big heroes. Right from Chiranjeevi to Prabhas almost all heroes have acted with her. In an industry where heroes don't repeat their heroines for the sake of variety, Trisha has practically no hero left to work with. All the other heroes in Tollywood who have not worked with her are younger to her or her in age, and going by Tollywood logics they would not work with her. So a Trisha Allu Arjun combination or a Trisha with NTR combination is almost ruled out. Moreover, audiences would not like such combinations as they may look stale.

That practically leaves Trisha with no heroes to work with in Tollywood. The best she would get to do is single heroine oriented small budget films. Will she do them or will she signal the end of her Tollywood career? Let us see in time to come.

Sravanand turned as mass star

Sarvanand who is all set to appear in the new movie 'Raju Maharaju' and this is said to be giving him a mass image and also the role of an action hero. Having acted as an innocent lad in 'Amma Cheppindi', this is a surprise.

The film also has the Bollywood beauty Surveen Chawla and Teshu Koushik. Surveen will soon be seen in a Subash Ghai movie and now the makers are looking at releasing the movie sometime during March 1st . While the character of Raju will be played by Mohanbabu, maharaju will be done by Sarvanand.

Ram charan tej to imititate - Hrithik,Pavan kalyan
